The Sona FM 107.8 team conducted a narrowcasting at Nesakarangal Home Care, sponsored by the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. This program aimed to raise awareness of vital issues related to senior citizens and their welfare.

சேலம் மாவட்டம் அஸ்தம்பட்டியை சேர்ந்த ஜா.பிரியங்கா,அரசு கலைக் கல்லூரி (தன்னாட்சி), சேலம் - 7ல் முதுகலை தமிழ் முதலாம் ஆண்டு பயின்று வருகிறார். வானொலி கேட்பதில் ஆர்வம் உடைய பிரியங்கா, சோனா FM 107.8 நம்ம மக்களின் குரல் சமுதாய வானொலியில் 29.05.2024 முதல் 14.06.2024 வரை பயிற்சி பெற்றார். நேரலை நிகழ்ச்சியில் நேயர்களுடன் பேசுகின்ற வாய்ப்பும் வழங்கப்பட்டது. சமுதாய வானொலியின் செயல்பாடுகளில் மிகுந்த ஆர்வம் கொண்ட பிரியங்கா, 15 நாட்கள் பயிற்சியின் முடிவில் சோனா சமுதாய வானொலியில் தான் கற்றுக்கொண்ட திறன்களை பற்றிய ஆய்வறிக்கையையும் சமர்பித்தார்.

Sona FM, an initiative by Valliappa Foundation, surveyed 1500 people in Salem and Yercaud region to understand their needs and wants in community radio. 40 student volunteers from Sona College of Arts & Science helped us in knowing people’s opinions.

Sona FM conducted a 21-day intense training program for the community radio presenters shortlisted for Sona FM in August 2022. The training prepared the presenters to deliver the right content to the community radio listeners understanding their expectations of them.
